Education System


Education plays a pivotal role in Dubai's development programmes. The school system in Dubai does not differ from education in the United Arab Emirates. There are many public and private schools serving Emiratis and expatriates. The medium of instruction in public schools is Arabic with emphasis on English as a second language, while most of the private schools use English as their medium of instruction. The Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates is responsible for school's accreditation.

Universities in the United Arab Emirates are reserved for local citizens and citizens from the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (CCASG). 


 However, many private higher education institutions are available to foreigners wishing to study in Dubai. Most of them are foreign universities or business schools established in the UAE where tuition is in English

Tuition Fee

Students have to pay a fee ranging from 12,000$/year to 20,000$/year

Students have various options for availing financial aids. Scholarships, loans, sponsors and other various methods are at a students disposal. There are sponsored private and government scholarships which are awarded to students in Dubai, for ex. The Benjamin . A. Gilman international scholarship, The Charles B. Rangel international affairs scholarships, The American University in Dubai etc.

Undergraduate courses –  Bachelor’s Degree – 3 - 4 years

Doctorate – Every university has a different criterion for admission into the doctoral program but mostly it depends on the letter written by the student to the university.

There are also advanced master courses offered by various universities which awards an MAS degree on completion of 60 ECTS credits. This is a 1 year course
